From the west: From Thruway exit 26, take I-890 east to exit 4 (Erie
Boulevard). Follow Erie Boulevard north to Union Street (second light after
the Amtrak station), turn right onto Union Street, and follow for one mile.
Enter the campus through Payne Gate on the left. To reach the math department, take the first right and follow
the road until you reach a stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign, and
left at the next stop sign. Parking is available on the right. The math
department is in Bailey Hall, the second building on the left.
From the Hampton Inn:
Go southeast on NY-5/State Street toward Jay Street. Turn left onto
Clinton Street. Turn right onto Union Street. There is a pedestrian
entrance to Union College at the next light, opposite
the end of Nott Terrace. If you are driving, go through the light
at the end of Nott Terrace and there will be a motor vehicle
entrance on the left just before the next traffic light.
Union College is a left
turn just after the traffic light at Nott Terrace.
Conference Schedule
There will be a reception on Friday night 7:00-9:00 in Bailey Hall 204, talks on Saturday,

Directions and Travel to Union College
Union College is centrally located in New York's Capital District about
10 miles from the Albany International Airport, easily accessible by train
from NYC, and just 3 to 4 hours by car from NYC, Boston, and Montreal.
By car:
From the north, south, and east: From New York State Thruway exit 24,
take the Northway (I-87) north to exit 6 (marked "Route 7 west"). Follow
Route 7 west for 6.5 miles and bear right onto Union Street. Continue on
Union Street for 2.7 miles and enter the campus through Payne Gate on the
right. To reach the math department, take the first right and follow the
road until you reach a stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign, and left
at the next stop sign. Parking is available on the right. The math department
is in Bailey Hall.
By air:
The Albany Airport is a 20 minute drive from campus and is served by
most major airlines, including Air Canada, Delta, Southwest, United Airlines, and US Airways.
By train:
The Schenectady Amtrak station is a ten minute walk or short taxi ride
from campus. The Albany-Rensselaer Amtrak station is a 30 minute taxi ride
from campus, but has more frequent service from NYC and points south than
the Schenectady station.

From the main parking lot exit left onto Nott Terrace. There is an entrance to the campus approximately 2 blocks down, at the end of Nott Terrace. Note
that this is a pedestrian entrance. If you are driving, turn right at the
end of Nott Terrace (onto Union Street) and there will be a motor vehicle
entrance on the left just before the next traffic light.
