MAA Decals The "Cusps of Gauss Mappings" decal used in the MAA recruiting effort in the winter of 2000 was one of several separate occasions when the MAA used art related to my work in their mailings. Two other decals are shown here: the first, "I Count on Math", was used in the fall of 1999, and the second, "Icosahedral Symmetry" in the winter of 2001. All three were created using my software, StageTools . "I Count on Math" was produced by Dan Dreibelbis at Brown University for the interactive electronic paper "Cusps of Gauss Mappings" , mentioned previously. "Icosahedral Symmetry" was requested directly from me by the MAA on short notice when another artist was unable to produce what they needed in time. Both appeared as part of mailings similar to the one pictured on the previous page.
