1-Skeleton:

The 1-skeleton of a polyhedral surface is the set of edges and vertices of the surface.

For example, the 1-skeleton of a cube is the set of twelve edges connecting the corners.

In general, for any simplicial complex, the n-skeleton is the set of simplices of dimension less than or equal to n.
