The 2022 Union College Mathematics Conference will take place Friday, June 3 — Sunday, June 5, 2022, on the historic campus of Union College in Schenectady, NY.
There will be parallel sessions in the following fields: algebraic topology; applied topology and geometry; differential geometry and geometric analysis; rings and algebras; and stochastic analysis and applications. See below for descriptions of each session.
In addition to session talks, the following featured speakers have accepted our invitation:
- Claude LeBrun (Stony Brook University)
- Sergio Lopez-Permouth (Ohio University)
- Tai Melcher (University of Virginia)
- Kate Ponto (University of Kentucky)
- Yusu Wang (University of California, San Diego)
Funding is available to support the participation of graduate students, postdocs, early career mathematicians, and those from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds in math. The conference is also hosting a "Women in Mathematics Lunch Panel" on Saturday June 4th. The lunch panel will provide an opportunity for women in different research areas to come together, share ideas for improving the retention of women and other underrepresented groups in research careers, and learn about the range of programs being implemented by some research networks for women.
Support for the 2022 Union College Mathematics Conference is provided in part by the National Science Foundation (Award #2154896), Union College, and a Simons Foundation Collaboration grant. The opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed are those of the planning committee and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Science Foundation.

● Algebraic Topology
● Applied Topology and Geometry
The Applied Topology and Geometry session will feature 20-minute talks on recent developments in the fields of applied topology and topological data analysis. We welcome talks on theoretical research as well as on computational methods and applications.● Differential Geometry and Geometric Analysis
The session, which is in celebration of Charles P. Boyer’s 80th birthday, on Differential Geometry and Geometric Analysis will consist of 20-minute presentations in these areas. We welcome talks on topics such as Kähler and Sasakian geometry, mathematical general relativity, minimal surfaces, and geometric PDE.● Rings and Algebras
The session on Rings and Algebras will consist of presentations in all areas related to ring theory. We welcome talks on a wide range of topics in both commutative and noncommutative algebra.● Stochastic Analysis and Applications
The session on Stochastic Analysis and Applications will consist of 20-minute presentations in these areas, broadly construed. We welcome talks on topics in probability, analysis, stochastics analysis on manifolds, SPDEs, SDEs and large deviations.Registration
