Calc III Lab #5: Introduction
Objectives of the lab
The objective of this lab is threefold.
- Gain intuition about differential equations and their solutions.
- Experiment with software to help us visualize the geometry of
differential equations.
- Gain experience with a new format of lab worksheets: an on-line
hypertext document.
Getting Started with DsTool
The computer software we will use today and in the next few weeks is a
dynamical systems toolkit know as DsTool. This software
will help you to get acquainted with the geometry of dynamical
systems.
DsTool has an on-line help
facility to help you in doing the exercises below.
