Interactive Models of 4D Objects (Java-Based) |
The following images link to interactive models of some of the four-dimensional objects we've studied. To use the interactive versions, your browser must support Java Applets, and you must have Java enabled in your browser. On each othe linked pages there will be a large image, which is a 3D version of the object. You can rotate it by clicking in on the picture and dragging your mouse to a new location. The following keyboard shortcuts can be used in the 3D viewer:
- Hold "s" while dragging to scale the object to a new size.
- Hold "t" while dragging to translate the object to a new location.
- Press "r" to reset the view to its starting view.
- Press "shift-F" to put a small coordinate axes in the lower left.
- Press "shift-B" to put a bounding box around the object.
- Press "shift-A" to toggle the edge aura in the line drawings.
- Press "shift-D" to toggle the depth cueing in the line drawings.
