    3. The inverse of the statement
    4. The negation of the statement
  2. Write the following using the symbols of propositional logic, and determine if the statement is true or false. Explain your conclusion.
    1. $\displaystyle x \cdot {1\over x} = 1$ for all real $x$.
    2. $\displaystyle 1 < {2\over x}$ whenever $x < 2$.
