Grading Policy:

All work must be completed and handed in by the end of the last week of class in order to receive a passing grade for this course.

Your grade will be computed from your scores on the papers, the homework assignments, in-class activities, and your in-class participation. See the papers and homework policy pages for details on the policies concerning them, and see the course calendar for the schedule of the reading and paper assignments.

The components have the following weights:

Paper 1 20 %
Paper 2 20 %
Paper 3 20 %
Homework and in-class work 20 %
In-class participation 20 %

There will be no make-up assignments without the instructor's prior approval. Late work will count as a zero. Excessive absences will adversely affect your final grade.
