Math 127 (Expectations) [Prev][Up][Next]

Course Text:

Our text is a good one, although we will want to supplement it at times with material from other sources. Each section has a summary at the beginning, which should help you coordinate your studies. There also is a "theoretical matters" section for each chapter that acts somewhat as a review of the chapter and adds more mathematical analysis; we will incorporate material from these sections while we learn the material rather than saving it up for the end of the chapter.

The text includes examples written in pseudo-code, and some actual code in FORTRAN and C, plus material about MATLAB, Mathematica and Maple, so there is a lot of useful information available here. There are solutions in the back of the book for some of the problems, so you might want to look there when you are working on your homework.
