Math 127 Course Text:

Our text is a new one, so we'll have to see how it works out. I think it looks like a good one, though I will want to supplement it at times with material from other sources. Each section has a summary at the beginning, which should help you coordinate your studies. There is also a "theoretical matters" section for each chapter that acts somewhat as a review of the chapter, and adds more mathematical analysis; I will be using from these sections while we do the material rather than saving it up for the end of the chapter.

The text includes examples written in pseudo-code, and some actual code in FORTRAN and C, plus material about MATLAB, Mathematica and Maple, so there is a lot of useful information available here. There are solutions in the back of the book for some of the problems, so you might want to look there when you are working on your homework.
