Non ISO-Encoding

Some of the mathematics on the previous page are represented using a non-ISO character mapping. For those using a Macintosh, if the characters don't seem to make sense, you may need to change the character encoding to MacRoman rather than ISO-8895-1. Select the proper encoding in the Encoding submenu of the View or Options menu.

For those using an IBM PC or compatible, you should not need to change the encoding, since neither Netscape nor Internet Explorer seem to implement the ISO character mapping (even though they show up in the menu, they don't seem to make any difference).
