Math 99 Collaboration Policy:
You are not allowed to work together on the problems sets or exams. (See
the department's statement on problem sets and academic honesty). This
means you may not discuss the problem sets outside of class with anyone
but the course instructor. That includes other members of the class, other
students, other professors, your parents, your siblings, or your dog.
I take this policy seriously, and so does the College. Please read the
department's statement carefully and abide by it.
If you use a computer-based algebra system (e.g., Mathematica) to
assist you in your calculations, you should attach a printout that
includes the commands and results (algebraic or graphical) that you
produced.
You may use a calculator to do routine arithmetic; if you
use a calculator for more sophisticated purposes (e.g., curve fitting
or equation solving), you must explain in detail the method that you
are using, why it is correct to do so, and why the answer is complete.
