New Artwork for SB3D:

José and Tom: Here are samples of the two new panels for the Obidos version of Surfaces Beyond the Third Dimension. I have tried to put the materials into approximately the same style as the original pages, but I've updated the headers and footers to the format that I'm currently using for most of my pages.

The two pages are:

(Tom, do you have a better suggestion for titles?)

The first investigates rotations of the hypercube, and the second, slices of the hypercube. I have tried to make them fit in with the current artwork in terms of layout and coloration, so I hope that you feel they work well with the exiting pieces.

I also include artists comments and mathematical discussion as we do in all the other pages. In addition, I have generated about a dozen MPEG movies as support materials, but I have not had time to write the comments for them yet. I'll do that as soon as I can.

Finally, I have drafted the explanation that you (José) asked for to be used in the printed materials. It is about 4 pages long, as you requested (in TeX format) though it may be more than you wanted. If so, I have several places in mind where it could be cut. Let me know, and I'll send you a shorter version if you want.

If you are satisfied with the images for the additional panels, I'll send the files to Mr. Esteves. Please let me know what you think.
