Problem Sets:

There will be 4 problem sets. You will have approximately one week to complete each problem set. Problem sets can be done individually or in groups of at most four. Everyone should do his or her own write-up of the problem set and should indicate other members of the group.

Exams:

There will be two exams during the term. They will be on Wednesday of week 5 and Friday of week 9. There will also be a final exam during final exam week.

Final Grade:

15% problem set average +
50% exam average +
35% final exam

Office Hours:

Your instructor does not list regular office hours, but makes lots of time available for student help. All you have to do is ask (in person, by phone, or by e-mail).

A Note on Final Exams:

The Mathematics Department does not give early final exams. Therefore, you should make sure that no one in your family purchases a non-refundable airline ticket for you for a departure earlier than the last scheduled final exam.
