- MathJax can process MathML directly within a web
page.
- Its internal format is a (javascript-based
version) of MathML, so this is easy.
- There is no need to use a namespace (e.g.,
<m:mi>x</m:mi> ), but you are allowed to use one,
if it is properly declared in the <html> tag.
- Older browsers don't handle the self-closing
form, e.g.
<mo /> , so it is better to use
<mo></mo> for this.
