Abstract Algebra and Math 235

Under the direction of: Karl Zimmermann

We teach Math 235 at Union without mentioning abstract algebra. However, many concepts in the course can be phrased using groups or rings. In this thesis, the student will compare the algebraic approach to number theory to the non-algebraic approach. Prerequisite: Math 332 and Math 235 or 221 or permission of instructor.
