Body weight changes and differential equations

Using the law of energy conservation, Edmund Christiansen and Lars Garby modelled body weight changes in adults by ordinary differential equations (ODEs). We will study their papers and if time permits, an additional paper which generalizes this model to children. A background in ODEs (either MTH 234 or MTH 130) is desirable.

This is a 1-term thesis.
