The cubic and biquadratic equations

We are all familiar with the solution to the general quadratic equation $ax^2+bx+c$. But what about the solution to the general 3^rd degree equation? or 4^th degree equation? This project will explore the exciting (and controversial!) history of the solutions to these problems, as well as the techniques used to solve them.

This is a one term thesis, with no formal prerequisites.
