Achievements in Analysis

Under the direction of: Brent Carswell

For this thesis, the student will select a number of mathematicians whose work contributed to the field of real and/or complex analysis. Part of this thesis will involve a historical description of the lives of these people and any relationships between them. Another part of the thesis will involve getting in to some aspects of their mathematical contributions. It would be good if the student could show, through the mathematics, how the work of some of the mathematicians influenced the work of others.

This is intended to be a one-term thesis.
