Placement Exam and Learning Disabilities

If you have a diagnosed learning disability, you may be entitled to extra time on the placement exam (and on other exams and quizzes while at college), usually time-and-a-half. In order to receive extra time, you must contact the Accommodative Services Office to document your condition (note in particular the eligibility and registration links in the sidebar of that page). After you have done so, contact the math department before you begin the exam to verify that your exam time has been properly extended.

Do not begin the exam until after you have fully documented your situation with the Dean of Student Support Services, and verified your status with the math department. If you start taking the exam before doing so, you may not be able to receive extra time.

Please contact math@union.edu if you experience technical difficulties.
