## The Chain Rule: Variations on a Theme |

The chain rule is a standard topic in first-term calculus courses. It tells us how to express the first derivative of a composition, $f\circ g$, in terms of the first derivatives of $f$ and $g$. In this talk, we'll explore different ways in which this standard material can be generalized and interpreted in other mathematical contexts.
