Abstract:

Come to hear about the student research project and experience during Summer 2012. Keilah Creedon worked on the fast method in solving the minimization problem in ultrasound image reconstruction, in order for the method to bring its potential into image guided radiation therapy (IGRT). Amer Khraisat worked on the attenuation compensation methods based on (1) a mathematical formulation, and (2) the measurement of center frequency, in order to reduce the artifacts in ultrasound images. The project is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
