When lines and circles are all the same!

Abstract:

After points, lines are the simplest geometric objects. But what can be considered a 'line', really? Does it always have to be straight? Complex numbers can provide an innovative approach to this question; they not only help us understand euclidean geometry better, but also suggest other models for geometry.
